We are looking for a consultant who can help us find distributors for our products in Africa.

We like to start by informing you about industries in Bangladesh.

We are one of the largest snack food manufacturer in Bangladesh. We also have several sister concerns to support our parent industry. These make flexible film for packing our products and produce/store agricultural produce like potatoes, peanuts etc.

Majority of our current sales is in Bangladesh. We also have sales in neighbouring countries like Bhutan, Singapore, Malaysia etc. But we feel strongly that we now need to put more time and effort for the export market and need to explore new markets like Africa, Middleeast, Europe & North America.

In particular, our namkeen/chanachur (similar to Haldiram in India) is in high demand and many people just buy from local market and export our products to many regions around the world themselves. These are heavy packs and so freight costs are reasonable. We also have fruit drinks and frozen breads (paratha) which appeal to export markets. Other products like chips and crisps are light weight and high freight costs. So they do not appeal for export to far off countries in finished state.

We are pleased to inform you that we recently exported 1 x 40 ft container of our products to Johannesburg, South Africa. In this case the buyer had come to our office and placed the order!

So we feel as a first step what we need to do is reach out to potential buyers in Africa. These buyers need to be a established distributor :

1. With warehouse

2. With vehicles to distribute to wholesaler/retailers

3. With sales peoples to cover the market

We like to give preference to distributors who have experience in FMCG products and have good financial standing.

We like to ask you if you are in a position to help us identify and connect us with these potential distributors after doing due diligence of their facilities and capabilities. We do not want to create any conflict in area of distribution so it is required to establish boundaries which they will cover.

There are more than 30 African countries with potential to sell our products.
