Shoppers to Access Amazon Across Platforms

Amazon’s goal is to move with customers as they switch between devices while shopping- whether smartphone, tablet or computer. Making the transition between devices seamless increases the amount of money that people end up spending on each purchase.

Marketing and Public Relations expert Tina Mosetis, founder of MosetisPR, shares her view of the digital shopping industry. “Although for many the digital shopping experience can be perceived as overwhelming, the market is definitely moving more and more in that direction. Amazon is doing exactly what they need to do to track customers and engage them in every possible way to make more purchases.”

Amazon is now investing more in e-commerce ads, including digital coupons, Buy Now buttons, and customer ratings. Mosetis explains, “Digital coupons can absolutely sway a consumer who is on the edge of making a decision to move forward with that purchase. In addition, positive customer ratings are clearly beneficial in the purchasing process and, as far as e-commerce ads, they are particularly enticing when you are being shown items in the same category you have recently been browsing. Amazon is at the top of their game.”

According to the ForeSee E-Retail Satisfaction Index, Amazon has ranked number one for customer satisfaction during the holiday season for the past eight years.
